Mom and Prejudice

Who criticizes teenagers the most? Incredibly is not the teachers at school, because they put up with us every single day. Not your dad, because he is almost not a home or because he wants to look younger. Not society, society needs us thats the whole deal. The who is this character? read the title!!!!!!!!! your mom is the person who criticizes you the most.

It is not that I am saying how horrible mother are, I am just saying how they are the most worried about you. Vanity is one thing, mom thoughts are other. "Darling that shirt looks wonderful on you" Universal meaning for this sentence, change of shirt right now. Mothers are really worried about your future and that is why they see the smallest mistake, because your perfect and people have to see it.

"If my children are silly I must hope to be always sensible of it" (Austen pg 21). This quote is only saying that mothers are also sensible at the fact that your just a kid and need space to do whatever you need to do. Still, this mother controlled their habits and manners so that a wealthy man would marry them. Moms depending on the time get worried about you, at that time marriage, at this time your college.

Mom's are great but if you think is prejudice is important in someone's life, then care allot about your mother's feelings.

  1. Dear Gabi,
To answer your question, "who critcizes teen agers the most?" I think that they criticize themselves to always look better. Vanity is something that we all have and we want to have a better image of ourselves. Still our parents also criticize us, they always want us to look better and they are the only ones that will tell us the truth. In Pride & Prejudice Mrs. Bennet criticizes a lot her daughters and the only reason she does that is because she is vain and wants to look better each time. She wants people to talk about her and say " all her daughters are married by now". However you are rights, moms in life care about us and the want the best.
